When you try to starting Service mysqld on Mandriva Linux Free 2009.0, the service coldn't start with the following error message: > ERROR: hostname cannot be localhost, mysql_install_db is quite unstable. This is bug on Mandriva Linux Free 2009.0 To correct this error you must change hostname with something else except 'localhost'. Go to MCC then 'Network & Internet' --> 'Hosts definitions' then change hostname and aliases Restart the service.
